Mushroom Soup

Soup is what I've been cooking in my kitchen during Lent and cream of Mushroom Soup is one of my favorites. I found the most delicious soup recipe on-line which is now part of my Favorite Recipe Collection. This was my inspiration for this weeks Sunday FREEBIE. BOX CARD Fun & Different

Wow! This was such a fun card to make. And, believe it or not..it was very easy. Though, it takes planning to choose the embellishments for the inside of the card box. When the box card is complete, it folds flat in an envelope. When the card is open, it displays itself like a box filled with all types of fun things. This week's FREE Digi are Easter Eggs. Add the egg embellishment, a bunny and some straw to the inside of the box for an interesting Easter Card, especially for kids.

MA & Baby Birdie

It's FREEBIE Sunday! Grab your FREE digi of Ma Birdie with her baby before midnight. After midnight, she won't be free.

My oldest son is visiting us, giving us a hand with spring clean-up, which is usually completed by mid-March. It's been a long winter and Spring is soooooo very overdue and very much on my mind. When I see the birds singing in the trees and picking worms from the ground, I know that spring has signaled its arrival. Although, I haven't seen many birds, the spring flowers are in all the stores. Guess I've been a bit anxious for the nice weather. Thinking about birds that visit my yard every year was the inspiration for this weeks digital image. My youngest always called me Ma rather than Mother, Mom or Mama like my other children. So meet Ma Birdie and have fun with my digital image.

Well, you all know where I'm headed --- Back outside to work in the yard and maybe I'll see some birdies to signal SPRING is here!!

FISH-N-BOWL

Card making is usually the craft I use for my digital stamps. But, think how versatile this stamp can be. I created a fishing theme for a children's party. I used this digital image for making the place cards adding each child's name to the top of the bowl. The Fish Bowls were also used as gift tags attached to the goody bags. Then, I cut out the Fish Bowls, gluing two of the bowls together, sandwiching string between the two images. Then I attached the string to a dowel that made some resemblance to a fishing pole. The fishing poles were used to create a center piece for the table.

Bee's Buzz'n Pull Out Card

Last Sunday's FREEBIE was this bee hive and I decided to create a card with a different fold. This card is a Double Pull Card. Pull on the ribbon and it opens up to a message on the right and left.

I sized the single bee from the Bee Hive Set and placed two different sized bees on the card. It's hard to see, but I also added googly eyes onto two of the bees. On the pull-out sides I added the message Hurry Up! on the left side and Get Well on the right pull-out. These sentiment banners can be found under the Words and Sentiments tab. Coffee Time

Making masculine cards is something I don't do too often -- that is unless one of the guys in our family have a Birthday. For me, it's easier to conjure up card designs using pretty colors, flowers and ribbons. This Sunday's digital stamp and circle sentiments can be used for anyone that likes their coffee. This stamp can be used for just about any occasion. Personally, I don't drink coffee, I'm a tea drinker. But I must say with all this cold snowy weather, a good cup of Hot Chocolate sounds good!

Remember....1960's VW Bug?

Nostalgia hits me occasionally and I love thinking about the exiting times of the 1960's. I'm an old gal with many memories growing up in that era. Remember the Maxi coats, clogs, mini skirts, The Beatles and what about the VW Bug? I had several of these cute little Bugs which are still seen driving on the highways today.

Thought this cut little bug would make an interesting greeting card. Try changing the saying on the license plates by making a sentiment that fits the plate. Here's a few words you can try: U Rock, B-Day, B Mine, Thanks, or UR Special. Have fun creating your own vanity plate for this buggy.

Birthday's & Cupcakes

Birthdays in our family are right around the corner. One in February, three in March and two in April. So...I'm busy getting my birthday cards ready for our upcoming celebrations. I thought I'd share an image from my Lily Bun collection that I used to create a birthday card for my daughter. Valentine's day is only two weeks away and this digital image makes a cute Valentine Card too.

LADYBUGS EVERYWHERE!

This weeks FREEBIE is a Ladybug. And, I hope she is the last that I see for a while! We had a large hatching of ladybugs this Fall, 100's of thousands. My side yard and the sunny side of my house was covered with the spotted critters. If you've ever experienced the black fly explosion then you know exactly what I experienced. I opened my kitchen door only to have 100's fly into the house. Even though its still winter with frigid weather these bugs are still showing up in my house. It's a daily hunt!

Growing up I believed that Ladybugs would bring you good luck when you came across one. I guess I should buy a lottery ticket!
