A long time ago....a month, I made a commitment to post a video showing how to make the mechanism of the Twist and Pop card.  Wow, this took so long because after several years I was VERY rusty editing my video.  But, now I'm done and here it is.

It will also be posted on my facebook page and my Youtube channel.  Give me a visit and leave any questions or comments.  Hope you enjoy.

Y'all come back now!

Halloween Twist & Pop Card

This is a FUN card to celabrate the Halloween season.  I used the graphics and sentiments from the Silhouette Design Store to make this card.  Just click on the icon to the right to check out the graphics.  Most of the graphics can be purchased as SVG files if you do not have a Silhouette Cameo cutting machine.  The images can be printed and hand cut as well as using a cutting machine that works with SVG files.  The paper I used was Halloween digital paper I purchased at Etsy, created by Altered Treasures and Dardart Design.  You can download Silhouette Software and it is FREE.  The software will allow you to manipulate the clipart, save, and print the image.  You can cut out the image if you have the silhouette machine.  Click here for the FREE software:  https://www.silhouetteamerica.com/software

To print the images with bright color and detail I used matte presentation paper.  Using digital images uses tons of ink so I invested in an Epson ET printer.  There are tanks on the side of the printer and the ink lasts close to a year.  The refill ink is very reasonable at a cost of approximately $14. bottle and also lasts about a year.  And yes, I do a lot of printing!

The card folds flat and can fit into a A2 size envelope but if your card is bulky, like mine,  you'll want to jump up to the next size 6.5 X 4.75 envelope.
Watch for my video which will be posted here and on YouTube.  And, the instructions to make the card will be listed under the Tutorial label to the left.
If you like my card, please visit me again for the instructions and a How To video.

I'm Back and Designing!

It's been several years since my last post.  In 2016 my dog and my husband passed away within weeks of each other.  I've had a bundle of changes in my life.  And, now that I'm settled, well all but organizing my craft room and supplies, I'm ready to get back in the saddle.  I have a new home, new friends in addition to my good friends, not one dog but two and pretty much a new life.  I miss sharing with my husband but he'll be in my heart forever.  He always critiqued my work with yeah or nay.  For now the dogs will give me a paw up or down!

Going forward, I'll be talking about using cut machines, graphics sites where you can download almost anything for very little or no $$.  I'll have cards for getting inspired, images that can be downloaded and videos for card making and scrapbooking.

Each Sunday night you'll have 24 hours to download a free image and How to Videos.

Hope you'll come back and visit me and if this is your first visit, please come back and like my blog!  See you on Sunday Evening!

Happy Card Making!

Christmas Blessings

2016 has brought many blessings to my family but also a challenging year with several doors closing and new doors opening.  Fortunately my family was not effected by the East Tennessee fires.  The fires in the Smokey Mountains have left many families homeless and some with loss of life.  Please remember these families of the Gatlinburg area this holiday season with parayer and support.  Donantions to support these victims can be made to Dolly Parton's My People Fund,

This weeks digital image is paper with a deep red background and small plaid square patterns repeated throughout the page.
I use a Cameo Silhouete and uploaded the paper pattern to fill my images.  It will also be the card base for my Christmas Box Card filled with poinsettias and presents wrapped with bows.  You can download this paper image all day Sunday for FREE.  Find it under the FREEBIES tab.

Next week there will not be a FREEBIE posted due to the holiday.  I will be spending time with my family.

Happy Holidays to All!

Y'all come back now!

Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving.  My day was filled with many blessing and spent with family and a new puppy.  Many of you know that my dog Buster who was 14 years years old passed.  Thanksgiving eve a new member of our family joined us.  A Cavalier puppy of 4 months named Daisy.  She keeps me busy, but brings such happiness.  It's amazing how a dog can bring so much joy.  First time having a lap dog and I am loving every minute.  I've always had large breed dogs and this is a big change but a good one for me.

Today's FREEBIE is ready to be used for Christmas, Baby, or gift tags.  It can even be used as a coloring page for the kids or those adults that like to color.  She'll be available for the next 24 hours, (Sunday and Monday) so grab her while she's FREE.  You can find her under the  FREEBIES tab to the left.

Enjoy, and as always.......Y'all come back now.

I'm back... just a week later that I promised.  It's been a very emotional month.  My husband of many years has a new home in a skilled nursing facility, my dog Buster of 14 years passed away, and I was called for a 6 week Jury Duty.  Just a bit of drama and loss at my home.  I debated whether to announce my loss for the world to know, but I think, for me, it's theraputic to talk, talk talk and pray.  So, I did!

This weeks FREEBIE is a Pilgrim Owl perched on a tree limb.  I have to fess up.  When I drew the branch, I had a difficult time changing the color from brown....it is what it is. I had no time to fiddle with the software so y'all will have a brown limb unless you print in black and white.  Then,  more than likely the branch will be black.  Suggestions to spruce up the limb,  use ink, Copic's or other medium to shadow or improve the branch.  Another choice is to fussy cut the owl and remove the branch altogether.

The Pilgrim Owl will be available to download for the next 24 hours. You can find the download on the FREEBIES page under the tab to at the left.  Enjoy!

Y/all come back now!

You know It just wouldn't be Halloween without all the Witches, Pumpkins and Candy Corn. I think candy corn must be one of the oldest Halloween candies around.  It's colorful and tasty and it's always on the store shelf at this time of year..  This weeks FREE digital image is a jar of this yummy candy.  You can download this FREEBIE all day Sunday.  Find the download under the FREEBIES Tab.

Next week there will be NO Freebie.  I'm going to spend the week-end playing with my two Granddaughters.  Excited to be spending time with my two favorite loves!

Enjoy the free digital image and Y'all come back now!
