Wreaths are used all through out the year. I change the wreaths on my doors to decorate for each of the holidays. Today, the last of my many leaves will be raked and blown and my lawn will get it's last hair cut before winter sets in. A friend emailed me a recent picture of the snow covered streets in Chicago. The sure hope that white stuff stays North! This week's FREEBIE is a wreath made of leaves. The last remnants of the fall. You can download the FREE digi all day Sunday under the FREEBIES Tab. Soon we'll be raking leaves and picking up acorns from the oak trees. My friends collect thousands of acorns for the bears in the Smokies. This week my kids will be visiting to help with yard clean-up only to prepare me for raking the barrels of leaves that fall from my tree lined property. This week the digital FREEBIE is an acorn with oak leaves. Download the digital file before midnight Sunday. The download can be found under the FREEBIE Tab on the left. Enjoy! Hope you had a fun Labor Day Week-end, I sure did! Y'all come back now, gailWorking on projects that are too long term usually doesn't work for me. That's why I spend most of my creative juices on card making, rarely spending time scrapbooking. You can guess where all my photo's land...yep, inside a shoe box! On Pinterest I saw an picture of a shabby chic antique looking photo album that caught my eye. I just had to check it out. One site led me to another and I watched several videos. The next several days were spent watching YouTube videos and fascinated with learning how to make a 5" x 7" album. The pages were amazing, and full of flaps, tags, photo mats and pockets. A six page album can contain more than 24 photos and journaling spots. Best of all, the construction of the album can be made in a few hours. Designing the pages and covering them with coordinating paper takes a bit longer. I'm now working on my first 6 X 6", six page album and I'm having so much fun. It's a nice change. This week's FREEBIE is a snow-globe filled with fall leaves and a pumpkin. Download this FREE DIGI all day Sunday until midnight. Find the download in under the FREEBIE tab. Enjoy. Y'all come back now! gailLast week my website was listed on the Free Digital Stamps blog for the first time. I received several positive emails and a comment about my Five Pumpkin digital stamp. So...... I'm offering this stamp again for FREE this Sunday. And since this digi has been posted again, I've added a sheet of FREE digital paper. Last week-end I took a glitter class in the Smokey Mountains (it was a great visit with wonderful fall weather). We used an amazing super fine glitter that after it's applied is smooth as velvet. And, it doesn't shed a bit of glitter after it's applied. The glitter is made by Elizabeth Crafts Have you tried it yet? The technique I learned may have been around for a while but I really enjoyed the class. The glitter is applied to stickers after mounting onto double sided sheets of sticky paper. On my sample card shown on my 10/15 positing and in the FREE DIGI section of my web page, there's a sample card using glitter glue to highlight the creases in the pumpkin. NOT the same thing! Here's an idea....Try cutting the sections of the pumpkins and glittering (with micro fine glitter) each pumpkin section. Then apply a pop dot to each pumpkin section and adhere to the top of the digi print. I haven't tried this yet but I know it will look amazing. Look for a post late tomorrow showing my 3-D Glitter Pumpkins! Y'all come back now! gailWho doesn't just love the Autumn season? The weather in Tennessee has been perfect --- temperature in the 70's and the sun shining brightly. In a few weeks the leaves in East Tennessee will be turning shades of red, yellow and orange. Oh, how I love taking photographs this time of year. These thoughts gave me inspiration for this card. I was thinking of pumpkins, fall, and leaves sprinkled with colors of beauty. Halloween will arrive in a few weeks and Thanksgiving following close behind. This digital stamp can be used for any autumn occasion; birthday, get-well, Thanksgiving, or just a friendly note. The paper I used behind the pumpkins are red, green and gold leaves sprinkled on a dark background. The Autumn Digital Paper-Pak is a set of 9 different background colors sprinkled with autoum leaves. Find the multi-colored leaf paper, Five pumpkins digital stamp and the sentiment sprinkled with fall leaves for sale on my site. Check back on October 20th and grab the Five Pumpkin Digi for FREE! |
