Remembering Dad

Next week we celebrate Fathers Day. What fond memories I have of my Dad. He was very charismatic and his voice was deep and commanding. When he laughed he was loud, but jolly. I remember being in a restaurant with him and a radio personality approached the table. They were so intrigued by the sound of his laughter, he was asked to join their broadcast's Christmas show to share his laugh with the world. I remembered sitting in front of the radio with my family and listening to my Father laughing on the radio. I inherited his not so lady like laugh, that at times, brings a glance or two.

My husband and I like going to the movie theater. I don't know about you but I can't go to the movies and pass by the refreshment counter without buying a small bag of popcorn. Not quite sure why I must munch on this food that causes me to endlessly floss the popcorn shells from my teeth. This is probably the only non-fattening food my pallet likes. Although, calorie free it's not by the time I add the butter. My husband tells me each and every time, "not very healthy to add all that grease" . I know he's right but, I still add a small amount cause its not the same without it. Popcorn is always an item you'll find in my hands when I'm at the movie theater!

Have A Beer!

Late is engraved in my genes. And last night I had a few computer issues that kept my post and FREE digi from being uploaded on time. I don't drink beer but could have used a cold one to chill out yesterday while I was dealing with my very uncooperative software. Ask my son who was trying to help me and he'll tell you quickly that after multiple calls from his mother, it wasn't the software but the computer operator causing the issue. And, he was right!
