So where are the bananas? I'm not much of an ice cream eater unless I'm munching on the homemade kind. But...I love a good banana split. When I was a teenager we would go to a deli to eat a snack before heading home for the night. Six of us would pile into a booth and order a Kitchen Sink. The Kitchen Sink was a giant bucket that was almost as large as the table. It was filled with 5 flavors of ice cream and topped with pineapple, strawberry and hot fudge sauce, piled with whipped cream and loads of cherries. Oh, and lets not forget 5 or 6 split bananas. OK, now I'm getting hungry for ice cream. Think I'll go make me a yummy banana spit!
