Next week we celebrate Fathers Day. What fond memories I have of my Dad. He was very charismatic and his voice was deep and commanding. When he laughed he was loud, but jolly. I remember being in a restaurant with him and a radio personality approached the table. They were so intrigued by the sound of his laughter, he was asked to join their broadcast's Christmas show to share his laugh with the world. I remembered sitting in front of the radio with my family and listening to my Father laughing on the radio. I inherited his not so lady like laugh, that at times, brings a glance or two. My Father loved sports and one of his favorites was Golf. This week's FREEBIE is a golf bag. You can download it for free all Day Sunday. It's found under the Freebies Tab. Enjoy....and Y'all come back now.

Every girl likes to receive flowers and roses are a popular choice at Valentines Day. My husband is very good at choosing gifts that showed he understood the way to my heart. During one period of our marriage, Bud would send flowers to my office every week. This caused a huge problem with the girls in my office. They all went home expecting their husbands and boyfriends to send them flowers on a regular basis also. Bud was very thoughtful and sent beautiful bouquets for no special reason....just because. It's a wonderful memory. This weeks's digi is a bouquet of roses. You can download the FREEBIE all day Sunday by selecting "Sunday" under the FREEBIES Tab. Get it before midnight. Y'all come back now! gailWreaths are used all through out the year. I change the wreaths on my doors to decorate for each of the holidays. Today, the last of my many leaves will be raked and blown and my lawn will get it's last hair cut before winter sets in. A friend emailed me a recent picture of the snow covered streets in Chicago. The sure hope that white stuff stays North! This week's FREEBIE is a wreath made of leaves. The last remnants of the fall. You can download the FREE digi all day Sunday under the FREEBIES Tab. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Enjoy the blessings of the holiday. Y'all come back now! Monsters always lurked in the dark among my Mothers unfolded clothes piled in the basket that sat in my bedroom. As a preschooler, I remember covering my head with the sheet so the monster couldn't find me. Quite an imagination I had. Maybe that's where my creativity sprung from. There's been many a monster; the Loch Ness, Big Foot and many an alien. This week's FREE digi is Bessy Sue, a friendly monster that could be an alien from a far away galaxy. She's FREE all day Sunday until midnight. You can access the download button under the FREEBIES tab. Enjoy her. She'll make a fabulous card with a word bubble or 3-D pop-up on a Scrapbook page. Dress her up with pattern paper. On my card, I plan on adding "google eyes" and glossy accents to her lips. Monsters images are popular and will work for adults as well as kids. Have fun with this weeks digi. And, Y'all come back now. gailPS. Next week-end I'm spending time in San Antonio with friends and my digi will be posted Saturday through Sunday. You'll have two days to download, So grab it early!
What these three words describe is my best friend, Karen. We were friends for 41 years until just recently when she passed away from Alzheimers. Karen ALWAYS colored my world with love, kindness, understanding and the ability to listen and not judge. Karen was ALWAYS there to support me no matter what the issue. She truly was a "big" sister and a best friend. And most of all we had loads of fun exploring life together. Whenever we were together you could always count on a memorable event. We had a friend that moved back home to Oklahoma and Karen wanted to make a video for all the people that touched Lyn's life including all her favorite things in the town where we lived. She borrowed a video camera. At the time the cameras were very large and very expensive. This was a $3,000 camera and since she was technically challenged, it was up to me to carry on as the camera lady. All I could think of was what happens if I break the thing. We spent the day taping and laughing and having fun driving around from town to town visiting friends, Lyn's favorite shops, restaurants and parks. Karen wanted the video to look like a movie. She took a roll of old wallpaper and draped it over the top of a door. She proceeded to write the credits on the paper and as I filmed, she pulled the paper down the back side of the door moving the "credits" just like you see at the end of a movie. Now it was time to watch the video. We laughed so hard we cried. Several times while filming I forgot to take off the lens cap and all you heard was the two of us talking and laughing.... no picture. The video at several spots wiggled up and down from the car ride. It made you feel sea sick from the motion. And most hilarious was the sound of the wallpaper being pulled from the floor over the top of the door. It sounded like a dead body being dragged across the floor. Film Makers we weren't! Karen wanted something special for Lyn so she wouldn't miss what she left behind. Karen always Colored Everyone's World. I sure miss my best friend. This weeks digi is FREE. Visit the FREEBIES section and download it all day Sunday. Hope you enjoy it. Y'all come back now! gailIsn't it more enjoyable to "Be Happy" than to own a negative attitude? I've learned to be "happy" regardless of my circumstances. I accept what hardships knock on my door even though at times it's difficult. All one can do is your best and move forward. Choosing to be happy, and at times I admit it's been difficult, has made the impossible, possible. I take care of a paraplegic husband that I love dearly. Life can be very difficult and restrictive for me. I thank God everyday for all my blessings. Though....I admit, I think God wanted me to be a nurse, and I didn't listen....He's now making sure I do what he asked! Take time to smell the flowers and put a smile on your face. It's more fun. Bee Happy! This weeks digi is FREE and you can download it all day Sunday. Find it under the FREEBIES tab. Hurry, it's gone after midnight. Y'all come back now! gailGrowing up I was always patriotic. We were proud to be Americans and proud to fly the American Flag. We treated our country and flag with respect, always. Times have changed for many over the generations. Me, yes, I'm still proud to be an American and grateful to all that have served our country since our quest for independence. Monday will be memorial day and I thank those Americans who have served our country to keep us free and safe. Thank you! This weeks FREEBIE is in honor of July 4th and in memory of all those brave men and women that serve or have served our country. The FREE digi will be available for download all day Sunday. You can find it in the FREEBIE section under Sunday Digi. Enjoy, and Y'all come back now. gailSo where are the bananas? I'm not much of an ice cream eater unless I'm munching on the homemade kind. But...I love a good banana split. When I was a teenager we would go to a deli to eat a snack before heading home for the night. Six of us would pile into a booth and order a Kitchen Sink. The Kitchen Sink was a giant bucket that was almost as large as the table. It was filled with 5 flavors of ice cream and topped with pineapple, strawberry and hot fudge sauce, piled with whipped cream and loads of cherries. Oh, and lets not forget 5 or 6 split bananas. OK, now I'm getting hungry for ice cream. Think I'll go make me a yummy banana spit! This weeks digi is none other than an ice cream sundae without the banana. You can download the digital image for FREE all day Sunday. Hurry, the link expires at midnight. Find the image under the FREEBIES tab. Y'all come back now! gailBuster is our family dog. And he doesn't look anything like this digi. He's an 11 year old, 70 pound lab mix, tan with a bit of white around his snout from aging. We adopted Buster when he was 16 weeks old, and his name was Bullet. I just couldn't see myself calling for my dog..."Here Bullet"! We searched for names that started with a B, then settled on the name Buster. We call him Mr. Buster or Buster Brown. Mr. Buster has some strange habits. He thinks he is a cat at eating time. He wakes me up in the morning with a gentle whine and a yucky morning lick. He then goes out for his morning duty and back in for breakfast. He likes to bark at his kibble and bat the nuggets back and forth with his paws before lapping up the nugget. Much like a cat does when he plays with a mouse, He's really quite funny looking...and so serious. I've thought about posting a video on YouTube of his eating ceremony. Maybe someday? This week's digital image is Ralphy the Dog. He is FREE all day Sunday until Midnight. The image can be downloaded for FREE under the FREEBIE Tab, but just for on day. So hurray before it's gone. Y"all come back now! gailWow..... Food allergies are horrible! We were dining out in a seafood restaurant for lunch. Soon after eating our shrimp and lobster lunch, my husband complained he didn't feel well. It didn't take long for him to become deathly sick and break out in hives. A new food allergy -- shell fish. Off to the emergency room and a 10 day stay in the hospital. He's recovered and lucky for him he's able to eat other fish as long as it's not shell fish. We are both Fish Lovers but now Bud will have to stick to some of his other favorites like trout, walleye, grouper and of course tuna. This weeks digi is the "Fish Lovers". The digi is FREE all day Sunday until midnight. You can download the digital image by accessing the FREEBIES tab to the left. Have fun with this image. Y'all come back now! gail |
