I've been playing around with creating Border Clusters. Border Clusters are used in creating scrapbook page borders and I thought they would be fun to create for the edges of of my greeting cards. The borders are made using several different papers. The paper is cut on a "wave" to create what looks like a landscape. Take your pencil and draw a wavy line across your paper then cut along the line. I made my top and bottom border a straight edge, but there's no rule whether the edges should be wavy or straight, just experiment. I used two different patterned papers and one solid sheet. Cut the paper to the width of your card and create a landscape border by gluing multiple wavy sheets together, then adhere to one of the card edges.
Now the fun starts! Decorate your border with embellishments. I made daisies, punched leaves and added a ladybug. The sentiment was then added to the card . The card needed some extra pizazz so I added clear gems for sparkle.
I used the plaid paper that's today's FREEBIE as one of my border papers. This paper was also used as the frame for my sentiment and the background paper inside of the card . The off-set polka dot paper I found on Etsy.
