First,  I'd like to thank all my followers that like and download my Digital Images each week to use in their crafting.

My family has been dealing with several serious health issues and as a caretaker, I need some time off to rest and to catch up on everything that has fallen behind.

I plan to be back in the saddle with FREE Digital images beginning October 2nd.  I'll also be launching a new web-site January 2017 that will offer HOW TO's and FREEBIES for stamps, digital images and SVG files for those that use cutting machines.  So keep in touch.

Please check back in October and start collecting more of my FREE digital images.

Again, Thanks and Y'all make sure you come back now!!

Pineapples have been appearing everywhere.  Besides the grocery store,  I've seen them on billboards, on TV, rubber stamps and of course greeting cards.  I'm not sure what the craze is about pineapples other than they taste sweet and juicy and they're found in abundance in Hawaii.

This weeks FREEBIE is none other than the pineapple.  Get creative and join the pineapple craze!  This weeks FREE Digital image of the pineapple will be FREE all day Sunday.  Get it while its available.  Happy Crafting.

Y'all come back now!.

Raccoon

Oh, the very mischievous raccoon has paid me a visit  many times over the years.  Most recently he's broken 3 bird feeders, one of which was a very nice glass feeder with brass trim.  I learned quickly while living in a wooded area, using ornate decorations outside is not the best choice.  I trekked to my local bird feed store and bought a very expensive plastic and rubber bird feeder guaranteed to be squirrel proof.  Well, why did my brain think that squirrel and raccoon were the same?  Mr. Raccoon gave me a visit and knocked off the bird perch from the feeder.  The perch is round and snaps together in two pieces.  He not only knocked off the perch but walked away with half of the perch.  Of course, back to the bird store to see how I can replace this "squirrel" proof, but not raccoon proof bird feeder.  The answer was to remove the bird feeder for several days until Mr. Raccoon was convinced dinner was not available at my house.  It worked.  I replaced the bird perch and luckily my raccoon friend has not returned.  At least he hasn't broken my feeder again.  Oh, yes my feeder is really squirrel  proof.  I have a family of squirrels that test it daily!

This weeks digi is a raccoon holding an apple.  It's a great digi for a back-to-school-project.  This FREEBIE is available all day Sunday into Monday.  Get it while it's FREE by clicking on the FREEBIES Tab and going to Sunday Digi.

Enjoy and Y'all come back now!

LuLu Hippo

Hippo makes me think of Large, Overweight, Pleasingly Plump and a few more adjectives that come to mind.  To me this spells DIET.  I've been dieting all my life.  Twice, recently,  I was injected with steroids for a poison ivy rash.  But steroids can make the numbers on the scale go upward.  It was time to diet.  Off to the food store to buy myself some low-fat foods.  I spent two weeks eating low-fat, low-cal food.  Mealtime was not enjoyable!   I lost 9 pounds but at a cost of being miserable so I  quit the diet.  I decided that eating foods I disliked would come to a halt.  My low-fat crackers, frozen turkey burgers, and fat free everything when to friends and family.  The trick to remain on a good diet is to eat a balanced meal and cut the portions.  If I want bacon, then I eat only one slice.  Need a sweet, eat one small cookie or a hershey kiss to satisfy the chocolate urge. Dieting is working much better and I'm a much happier dieter.  No Hippo for me....well, maybe a little!!

This weeks digi is a Hippo  dressed in a TuTu.  LuLu will be available for download all day Sunday and Monday.  Get her while you can.  You can find the FREEBIE under the FREEBIE tab.  Have fun with her and I'll see y'all next week!

Plaid Digital Paper

Using digital paper is easy and convenient.  I own an Epson ET2500 which has large external tanks.  The printer cost is over $200., but it's ink lasts the average printer user a year.  Using my old Epson I was spending just short of $100. every month on ink.  I purchased a CIS for my previous printer and saved more than $500. on ink.  With this new Epson printer, the ink tanks are still more than half full after more than 6 months of heavy use.  The savings using the Epson ET2500 has more than paid for the printer and several ink tank refills for future printing.  I print my own paper for all my craft projects.  That's a lot of ink!  When I purchase digital paper I download it to a folder on my computer.  I use a Mac, so when I double click on the file, the digital paper expands to PREVIEW mode.  I can choose to print or export to PDF.  It can also be imported into Word, Pages, Photoshop or Silhouette Studio.   I use Epson's presentation paper to print digital paper which is a heavier weight than copy paper, but prints color exceptionally well.  It's made to print colored images and type.

In the example I used the plaid paper as my background paper for a thank you card.  I hope you can use this colorful paper on projects you create.

The digital paper can be downloaded all day Sunday and early Monday.  Find the download in the FREEBIES section and enjoy!

Watermelon Anyone?

Finally a FREEBIE for everyone.  Two Sunday's ago the site where I have my images had problems keeping their site up and running.  Some of you were able to download, others not so lucky.  Then last week my dog became very ill and after a Sunday visit to the emergency veterinarian clinic, a shot and some meds, Buster is just about recovered.

This Sunday and Monday I will have both this weeks digi and last weeks digi available for those of you that were unable to access the FREEBIE.

Watermelon is a beautiful delicious looking fruit when cut, but I just don't like melon.  It's funny that I REALLY want to like it.  Watermelon looks so inviting to eat and let's face it, not too many calories.  Years ago one of the guys that worked with me was on a diet.  I recommended that he eat watermelon since it had little calories.  Unfortunately, he ate so much of it and he actually gained weight.  He wasn't happy with me and also didn't realize that large amounts of the delicious fruit contains huge amounts of water and water gain will happen!

This weeks FREEBIE can be found under the FREEBIES tab.  It can be downloaded by clicking on FREE.  Enjoy this weeks digi and I hope to see you all next week.

Y'all come back now!

Donuts

7/3/2016

When I was in grade school, wow...a really long time ago :), my parents gave me twenty-five cents a week for participating in chores each week.  Instead of saving my allowance, I often trotted up-to the corner to buy myself something sweet.  My parents weren't dessert eaters and once our meal was finished, the kitchen was closed for the evening.  During the summer months my mother would often made cranberry ice which is like lemon ice and similar to sherbet but icier.  Two blocks from our home was a bakery.  Donuts were six cents for cream filled or iced and five cents for plain or sugared.  My favorite was cream filled and chocolate iced especially those with jimmies or sprinkles.   Since those days I've opted out of cream filled donuts after years of dieting, but the chocolate iced are still my favorite.  It's hard to pass by a fresh baked donut, but I'm working on it!

Picture
This weeks FREEBIE is a group of three donuts with Jimmies and a separate JPEG sentiment that says "Donut U Know You're So Sweet".  The digital images will be FREE all day Sunday and Monday.  Grab them while they are FREE.  Find them under the FREEBIES Tab

July 4th

We've lived many places through-out the United States and everywhere we've lived fireworks have been part of our Independence Day celebration.  One year while living in Pennsylvania, we watched the sky light up with fireworks being set off from a barge on the Delaware River where George Washington crossed in his boat..  We've watched from hill tops in our car, from lawn chairs in our back yard and from stadium seats.  It's a day to be thankful for the freedom we have and to appreciate what our forefathers fought to preserve for generations in the future.  We'll celebrate here in TN with fireworks over the lake and just maybe from the comfort of our deck.

This weeks image is 8.5 X 11" digital paper with a July 4th color theme. You can download the FREE digital paper by going to the FREEBIES Tab.  It's available all day Sunday for download.  Enjoy,

And, Y'all come back now!.
