Today I want to talk to you about a movement to stop bullying in schools. This destructive behavior has become a major problem among school girls of all ages. Several girls, along with their Mothers traveled 10,000 miles to promote their Kindness Program to thousands of schools throughout the country. Find information at www.kindcampaign.com. In support of this initiative, Jennifer McGuire, a talented card-maker, has sponsored a month long "Share Handmade Kindness" Challenge. The Challenge is to send a card of kindness to someone. You can read all about this Challenge at jennifermcguireink.com blog. You can also check out this initiative at all social media sites with the hashtag; #sharehandmadekindnesson. This is an awesome initiative for positive change to stop bulling. I hope you'll learn about it. This weeks FREEBIE is a Cottage Snow Globe. You can download this FREE digi all day Sunday. Hurray and grab it. It's unavailable after midnight. Thanks for visiting my site. And, Y'all come back now! gail

Most of us are not too thrilled with mice, but those tiny critters can be cute. We find them mentioned in the famous storybook "Twas the Night Before Christmas", which will be read to thousands of children during the holiday season. Can't quite say what inspired me to draw this digi.....but the mouse is part of Christmas tradition. When I make a card with this digital image I will print two copies of the wreath and holly, then cut and color, glazing the berries and the red ribbon with Glossy Accents. Then pop the wreath and holly to give a two dimentional look. Another idea would be to stamp a book and write the title "The Night Before Christmas" onto the book. Cut out the digital mouse image and pop it over the the book. Let most of the book title show. Then cut and double mount the sentiment "Not a creature was stirring..." onto the bottom of the card. Think I'll try it. This week's digital image can be downloaded all day Sunday. You can find the FREEBIE under the FREEBIES Tab. Enjoy! Happy Halloween! Y'all come back now.... gailI'm working on a Holiday Card Class for the locals in my area. I usually hold classes once a month and we make cards or scrapbooks. This month we're making cards and gift tags with a seasonal theme. As you know I love snowmen and the ladies can expect serveral cards with the snowmen as the focal point. Here in Eastern Tennessee we don't get the chance to build many of these white fluffy creatures. That's OK with me. I'll just keep creating them with ink and paper. I saw a cute card design using snowmen. Probably on Pinterest. The designer took the head of the snowman and duplicated several of them across the bottom of the card. Try this design. Print three images of him, color each snowman different then cut the heads out including the neck scarf and discard the rest. Line three Mr. Jollys along the bottom, top or side of the card. Then place your sentiment in the middle of the card. Try it. Looks cute! This week's FREEBIE is a Jolly Snowman. You can download the digital image all day Sunday under my FREEBIES tab. Enjoy him. Y'all come back now! gailI don't want to think about snow and I really dislike cold weather. But that doesn't stop me from falling in love with snowmen. There's all types; pencil, skinny, melting, fat, happy, victorian, even action figures. I just love all types of snowmen. They are all so very cute! During the rest of this month I plan on drawing several types of snowmen, posting a different guy or gal each week. I hope you like them. This week's digi is a pencil snowman which will be used to make a gift tag. Paper piece the snowman on a card or as an embellishment for your winter scrapbook page. Use real buttons on his body and add fur to his hat with puffy paint or cotton balls. Embellish around him with snow mounds, trees, shovels, or giant snowballs. Take a picture of your craft item and post it under SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT. I'd love to see your creativity! You can download this FREEBIE all day Sunday until midnight. You can find the download under the FREEBIES tab. Have fun and make something cool! Y'all come back now..... gail"I saw a word track similar to "My Note to Santa" and just had to share it. The word track has been around for years, but just recently it's the first time I spotted it. So cute. Wouldn't it be great if Santa could deliver! What a fun card to send to a friend, make into a yard sign or frame and display it.. Add snow drifts throughout the sentiment and cute cute! Enjoy this weeks digi. You can download it for free under the FREEBIES Tab. You can grab it all day Sunday until midnight. Come back Y'all. gailThis week's FREEBIE will be posted for two days, all day Saturday and Sunday. I'll be visiting San Antonio on a "girlfriend" "kick up yer heels", long week-end. I'm too excited. Being a caretaker I rarely get a break from being a caretaker. This week-end I get a a change of pace. That leads to my inspiration for my FREE digi - the cactus. Texas makes you think of boots and cowboy hats not "cactus" but, this week-end we're looking at 90 degree weather which the cactus loves! I hope you enjoy this week's FREEBIE. You can download it until midnight Sunday by going to the FREEBIES tab. I'm off for a fun week-end with my friends. See y'all next week. gailMonsters always lurked in the dark among my Mothers unfolded clothes piled in the basket that sat in my bedroom. As a preschooler, I remember covering my head with the sheet so the monster couldn't find me. Quite an imagination I had. Maybe that's where my creativity sprung from. There's been many a monster; the Loch Ness, Big Foot and many an alien. This week's FREE digi is Bessy Sue, a friendly monster that could be an alien from a far away galaxy. She's FREE all day Sunday until midnight. You can access the download button under the FREEBIES tab. Enjoy her. She'll make a fabulous card with a word bubble or 3-D pop-up on a Scrapbook page. Dress her up with pattern paper. On my card, I plan on adding "google eyes" and glossy accents to her lips. Monsters images are popular and will work for adults as well as kids. Have fun with this weeks digi. And, Y'all come back now. gailPS. Next week-end I'm spending time in San Antonio with friends and my digi will be posted Saturday through Sunday. You'll have two days to download, So grab it early!
Word Art is always fun to create with. This week's FREE Digi is a Halloween Word Art Frame. Use the frame as is in any of your crafting projects or add an image to the center to create an entirely different look. I've added my scary pumpkins to the center of the Batty Frame. I'll make a 6 X 6 Halloween Card from the image and then add a 3-D bat onto the top left of the frame. Do you know someone with a Halloween Birthday, then add a birthday image or birthday embellishments. This week's FREEBIE is Halloween Word Art. It can be downloaded by clicking on the FREEBIES TAB and then on SUNDAY DIGI. It's FREE all day Sunday until midnight. Have fun crafting. And, Y'all come back now. gailMy husband has the most ugliest statue of a bird in the bedroom. He just thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread. It's colorful with a giant beak and the statue came from some tropical paradise. The problem is I think it is ugly. But to each his own...right? I guess since this bird gave me the inspiration for this weeks digi, it can't be all bad. Just not my taste. But after all these years, it still has a place, just out of place, in our home. This week's FREEBIE is a tropical bird. Enjoy using him. He'll be FREE all day Sunday until midnight. Grab him while you can. Have a fantastic week and Y'all come back now! gailDid you know that there are more than 3,000 varieties of tea? Tea is cultivated from the Camelia Sinensis plant which is grown around the world, mostly in Asia and tropical areas. Four different type teas are made from this plant based on how they are processed. There is white, green, oolong, and black tea. White tea is unoxidized and black tea is fully oxidized. Green and oolong teas fall in between the two. Tea is my favorite beverage. I prefer black tea iced with lemon or orange slices but I'll drink any good tea. Tea is the most consumed beverage in the world after water. This week's FREEBIE is a tea cup. Download it all day Sunday until midnight. Find the download under the FREEBIES TAB. Enjoy your Labor Day week-end and have loads of fun. And, find time to craft with the tea cup. Y'all come back now! |
