Recently my husband has been bugging me to stop drinking diet soda. Bud is a news junkie and it was reported that diet soda actually aides in weight gain. Now it's important for you to know my husband. I could weigh 60 pounds soaking wet or 400 pounds large and this guy would love me and tell me how beautiful I look. His true intentions are purely to support me because I'm constantly complaining I need to lose weight. My favorite drink is diet Coke and it was hard to break the habit. Honestly I really did drink too much soda, pop or whatever it's called in your part of the country. Several weeks ago I was sick with bronchitis and I started replacing my soft drink with water. Water is really quite good for you but over the years I developed the habit of replacing water with Diet Coke. Water can get quite boring and I'm not one for a sweet taste and I turned to tea. I'm now drinking iced tea flavored with lemons, oranges or limes and of course I don't like sugar so no sweetener to make sweet tea.
