When coloring your image, place color along the image outline and with a damp brush or water brush pull the ink into the center of the image. It's amazing how the images shades so beautifully.

Recently I've been experimenting with water color on stamped images. I've used watercolor pens, watercolor paints, ink and ink pens that are water based. My favorite is distressed ink pens by Tim Holtz. These ink pens come in plenty of beautiful colors and each color comes in varies shades. Water coloring a digital image required the printer ink be waterproof. When your printer ink smears on the paper if water is applied, emboss your image by applying versa mark ink with a Versa Mark pen, emboss with clear embossing powder and heat set. When your ink is wet coming out of the printer quickly apply embossing powder and heat set. This process keeps the color inside the lines and prevents the images from smearing. The embossed lines will repel the color. Now if your ink is waterproof, just print and watercolor your image. When coloring your image, place color along the image outline and with a damp brush or water brush pull the ink into the center of the image. It's amazing how the images shades so beautifully.
